Old
Business:
Trash
report: Kristi reports we have 86
subscribers. We have $11,900 in the bank, so with expenses, we estimate a four
to five thousand dollar profit. Expect more subscriptions with summer visitors
arriving. Some discussion about security system – still need
to locate and review tapes??
Cancer
Walk: officially cancelled.
Community Pot-Luck: After the
Annual Meeting.
We have no
Chair, do we need a chair? It has worked on autopilot before.
All WFA
members currently in attendance will call 5 people to invite them to the annual
potluck. Kristi says that there is a blurb in the newsletter asking for
volunteers to bring a dish type – assigned by alphabet.
Calendars for 2011: Peggy is not here today.
Mayoral race: Through March 4th, revenue is
$100.00. Last year it was $1,000.
Merchandise sale: quick discussions on merchandise selection. Joe
reports that we set up on 10 out of 12 months Plus other events. Estimate
average of $400 per month so, that’s about $4,000 per year. Jean and Susan are
ordering more merchandise for the summer.
3rd of July Picnic: Kristi has the Dunk tank taken care of. It is Her’s
and Tim’s donation – for the cost. Jack Smades was volunteered to check for
plates and utensils. Since Susan and Trevor are not here, we volunteer them for
the ice. Will check with
Hula
Hoops, Face Painting, Jump ropes, Bounce house, basketball, Chalk. Koko the
Clown (John Horvath) will work with Katie.
Need
cooking people. Merchandise booth will be there. Ask
Baker’s: Jean’s MILaw, Katie’s MILaw, Betsy
will call a few people and bake some. Marsha, too.

Social – August 14th
All taken care of – Marsha.
Chili Potluck September 18th: Betsy chairs. Looking for a theme. History, Talent, Karaoke, Quilters, lapidary, Acting. To be held late afternoon – into evening. This is a ‘Social’ so we just put out different donation jars. Marsha notes that if we want to use music at any events, she has a list of people/groups.
ArtOberFest – Everyone be on the lookout for an auctioneer. Ken Byers – too early to tell.
NY Eve: On Hold.
New Business
June Arts & Crafts show – we have a framework for it. We need lots of volunteers. If it’s a ‘Go’ then a lot needs to be done.
John Horvath notes that there are only 7 of us volunteers here today.
Jean notes that last month, we had 15 people.
We started this renewed WFA with the thought that people would come from the WFPA meeting – to the WFA, but it is not working well.
Can the Merchandise people hand out a flyer and promote WFA – and wear a yellow WFA T shirt?
How about
little triangular signs at the pancake breakfast guests’ tables? Joe volunteers
